About

I’m Teri Daily. Episcopal priest, wife, mother, friend, former pediatrician, and lover of small towns. I live in Clarksville, Arkansas and depend deeply on a gracious God whose love is limitless.

This is a place to post sermons, reflect on feast days, and share thoughts about this journey called life.

This blog is called An Honest Hope because it is easy to become either hopeless or merely optimistic as we look at the world around us. But optimism and hope are not the same thing. Optimism is the feeling that things are not really as bad as they seem to be. Hope, on the other hand, is seeing the world honestly — with an unflinching gaze — and still trusting in the goodness of God and the possibility of transformation. In this time of Covid-19, persistent racism, commercialism, and loneliness, let’s be people of hope.
